Whole foods are the answer because they contain a balance of nutrients necessary for optimal body function.
Whole foods include whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, grass-fed meats, unrefined oils and fermented diary products. These keep the body working to allow weight loss to occur. Unlike refined and processed foods,sugars and bad fats and oils. Eating protein and fiber and good fat which are slow-burning keeping your appetite satisfied as digestion occurs gradually. Exercise is important as well but don't over do it. Rotate your exercise with cardio, then stretching (Tai Chi, Yoga), swimming, walking. Here are a few ideas to remember: 1. Ditch white sugar, white flour, processed foods and add natural sweetners such as honey or maple syrup. 2. Do not skip meals or undereat. 3. Consume enough protein at every meal especially at breakfast! 4. Eat unaltered fats such as extra virgin olive oil,coconut oil, ghee and butter as well as avocados, nuts and seeds. Examine factors that could be an underlying cause such as thyroid issues, stress, food allergies, yeast (Candida), or hormone imbalance.
